Part of the Tata Steel Group, Corus is a customer-focused, innovative, solutions-driven company which manufactures, processes, and distributes steel products and services to customers worldwide.  Corus is one of Europe’s leading steel producers with annual revenues exceeding ₤11 billion.  Corus became a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel in 2007. 

Established in 1907 as Asia’s first integrated private sector steel company, Tata Steel today is the world’s sixth largest steel producer with geographic footprints in India, South East Asia, UK, and rest of Europe.  The combined Tata Steel Group has an annual capacity of about 28 million tonnes and close to 83,000 employees.

Corus International (CI) is a Corus business unit functioning as a global supply chain service business, focused around steel, and working closely with Corus and Tata Steel mills as well as other quality producers.  Corus International specializes in arranging product and service packages for major contractors, fabricators, engineers, and end users throughout the world.  CI’s sales volume is approximately eight million tonnes per year channeled through 69 sales offices in 48 countries.

Corus International Americas (CIA) is based in Schaumburg (Chicago), Illinois, USA with additional commercial operations in Houston, Texas; New York City; Monterrey, Mexico; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  CIA’s business model focuses on a number of areas:

• Mill sales: representing Corus and Tata Steel mills in North and South America and providing seamless, local commercial and technical services for customers.     
• Inventory sales and management: offering tailored JIT delivery programs, including fast-response distribution of sections, plates, and special-section bulb flats from Houston, for OEMs and intermediary processors. 
• Project sales: providing custom-packaged procurement, financing, and logistics services for the construction, energy, offshore, and shipbuilding sectors.
• International sales: connecting a diverse range of specialized, non-group supply sources with targeted customers by way of Corus International’s global sales network.
